Micah is a unifying force for good in politics who aims to bring people together with commitments to community, public safety, small businesses, school funding, and environmental protections to benefit all Ohioans. Micah’s priorities for the statehouse include funding for quality programs across these areas. Micah’s focus will include supporting teacher compensation and adequate resources for student learning in evolving technological times. As an Eagle Scout with long-standing commitments to the environment, Micah will emphasize enhanced environmental protections, particularly in regard to drinking water. Additionally, he advocates for increased availability of state funding to support small businesses, including those which are women-owned and minority-owned.

Micah is a servant leader who currently serves as an at-large member of Athens City Council where he leads the city’s Safety Services Committee and has passed legislation for Athens’s new fire department headquarters, road improvements, and enhanced city network security. He works to make public services and sidewalks accessible as liaison to the Community Relations Commission and Commission on Disabilities. Micah introduced and passed citywide legislation extending racial discrimination protections and supports pro-choice initiatives. Micah looks forward to serving with commitments to community, public safety, economic prosperity, school funding, and environmental protections as our 95th District representative in the Ohio State House.
